Corrine C. Lorenzen, 92, of Fremont, died Friday April 15, 2011, at Fremont Area Medical Center in Fremont.

Corrine was born Dec. 16, 1918, to Frederick and Orphia (Armstrong) Busch in Washington County near Hooper and grew up south of the Winslow area. She attended school in rural district 43 and graduated from Hooper High School in 1936. On Jan.26, 1941, she married George A. Lorenzen in Papillion. They farmed in the Hooper and Herman area for ten years before moving to Fremont in 1954. In Fremont, Corrine worked in the student center of Midland Lutheran College and also worked at the Memorial Hospital of Dodge County. Following her husband George's retirement from the Chicago Northwestern Railroad, the couple traveled for 20 years.

She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Fremont and the Naomi Circle. She was also a member of Omaha Eagles Aerie 4029 Auxiliary, an extension club, Northside Happy Hour Bunco Club, Salem Circle of Cedar Bluffs, Railroad Coffee Club, Volunteer Fireman's Auxiliary and she had been a Brownie Troop Leader.

Survivors include: sons, George L. (and wife, Jan) Lorenzen of Castle Rock, Colo., Rodney Lorenzen of Colorado; daughters, Melinda (and husband, Dennis ) Zabloudil of Grand lsland, Mary (and husband, Robert) Gosch of Colorado Springs, Colo.; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George, in October 2006, two sisters, Lucinda Dam and Charity Hormel and a brother, Wilford Busch.

The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont. Visitation will be 2-8 p.m. Monday at Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Visitation will also be at the church Tuesday morning one hour before the service. Burial will be at Memorial Cemetery.
