Mylan Gene Kruse, 85 years, of Cedar Bluffs, Nebraska died Tuesday, November 9, 2016, at his home. Mylan was born in Fort Calhoun, Nebraska on April 4, 1931, the youngest of four children, to Paul and Frieda (Logemann) Kruse.

Mylan is survived by his wife of 60 years, Corrine; children and spouses, Tom (Cindy) Kruse and Terry (Shelly) Kruse, all of Cedar Bluffs, Tim (Nancy) Kruse of Gretna, Nebraska; daughter, Tracy (Jerry) Gross of Kennard, Nebraska; grandchildren, Cory (Sarah) Kruse, Betsy (Casey) Krueger, Chelsey (Justin) Tejkl, Tyler, Jacob and Megan, Kruse, Kyle and Hannah Gross, Kyle (Carley) Parsons, Kate (Travis) Wagenknecht; great-grandchildren, Tucker and Maci Kruse, Cutter and Braelynn Krueger, Sutton and Holt Tejkl, Brayden and Kenley Parsons, Ella and Dax Wagenknecht; sister-in-law, Teresa Kruse of Harlan, Iowa; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Larry and Gloria Bartels of Elkhorn, Nebraska; and several nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Harley Kruse; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruberta and Raymond Kruse and Verna and Richard Bull; nephews, Kenneth Bull, David Kruse and Clifford Kruse; and brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Danny and Beverly Bartels.

Funeral Service will be 10:30 A.M., Monday, November 14, 2016, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Cedar Bluffs. Visitation will be Sunday from 4 PM to 7 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel in Cedar Bluffs and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial with Military Honors will be at Memorial Cemetery in Fremont, Nebraska.

Memorials may be directed to St. Matthew Lutheran Church or American Legion Post #158.
