Lee, Vera (Jacobsen) Oct 6, 1917 - Nov 1, 2016 Ft. Calhoun. Vera Lee was born October 6, 1917 in Grundy County, Iowa to Martin and Anna Jacobsen. The first 8 years of her education were received in a small one-room schoolhouse, and she graduated from Dike High School in 1935. After residing in Omaha and Dike, IA, Vera moved to Ft. Calhoun, NE in 2003, and reluctantly sold her beloved 1970 Camaro. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Melvin. She is survived by 2 children, Ron (Cindy) Plate and Marlene (Larry) Phillips, both of Omaha; brother Dr. Merl Jacobsen, Littleton, CO; sister Marlys Tudehope, Boise, ID; 7 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, and 6 nephews.
