RUTH L. LONG, 91

Services for Ruth L. Long, 91 of Fremont who died March 5, 1994 at A. J. Merrick Manor in Fremont will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 8 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Dr. carol Roettmer Brewer will officiate. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery at Fremont.

Ruth L. Long was born July 25, 1902 at Hillsboro, Oregon. She lived at Blair for many years before moving to Fremont in 1983.

She was a past member of the First United Methodist Church for over 40 years and is now a member of the First united Methodist Church in Fremont. She is a former member of McKinley Chapter No. 11, Order of the Eastern Star at Blair, past president of District VIII American Legion Auxiliary No. 154 at Blair; past president of District VIII American Legion Auxiliary and past chapeau of 8 & 40 of Unit No. 1018 at Fremont.

She married Earl Long May 29, 1945 at San Diego, California. He preceded her in death September 18, 1966.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Euphemia Johnson Cox; brothers, Orville Cox, Alfred Cox and Arthur Cox; a sister, Arline Mowreader and an infant sister.

She is survived by two sisters, Rose Smith of New Plymouth, Idaho and Iola (Dr. W.H.) Piercy of Roseburg, Oregon and four nieces.

Pallbearers will be Rob Morse, Don Piersol, John Baumeister, Don Dravland, Gary Morse and Morris Palle.

Bonnie Schilke will be the organist. Duane Knoell will be soloist.

Memorials may go to the First United Methodist Church in either Fremont or Blair.

Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont is in charge of arrangements.
