Memorial services for David Hiller, 57, of Blair, were held Wednesday, June 5, 2002, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Blair. Inurnment was in the Anita (Iowa) Evergreen Cemetery. Mr. Hiller died Friday, May 31, at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair.

David C. Hiller was born Feb. 21, 1945, in Farmington, Minn., to Phillip and Arnelia (Burtness) Hiller. Because his father was a minister, he lived in many places in the United States. He graduated from Hawthorne (Calif.) High School, and attended California Lutheran Bible College as well as Dana College in Blair. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1967 to 1970. On June 27, 1970, he married Lana Goon at Anita, Iowa. The family has lived in Blair since 1970.

Mr. Hiller retired from the Nebraska Furniture Mart after working there for 28 years. He later worked for six years for Dial America, and was working for TPG Telemanagement Services at the time of his death. He as a member of King of Kings Lutheran Church in Omaha.

He is survived by his wife, Lana; his children, James and Mark of Blair, and son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Brandy Hiller of Mondamin, Iowa; three grandsons and one granddaughter; two sisters, Arlene Hiller of Hawthorne, Calif., and Mary Forsgren of Bozeman, Mont.; nephews, nieces, and many special friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Denny, Daniel and Mark.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
