SERVICES FOR FRED LOOSING WERE WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON

Fred Loosing, pioneer of Washington County, passed away at Dodge County Hospital in Fremont Sunday afternoon.

Services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. in the Reckmeyer Chapel, followed by services at St. Paul Lutheran Church north of Arlington at 2:30 p.m.

Rev. Carl Hellmann officiated. Interment was in Arlington Cemetery.

Mr. Loosing was born November 15, 1875 on the farm which his father homesteaded over 100 years ago. He spent his entire life on this farm.

His father came with ox team to Nebraska Territory about 1854.

Mr. Loosing was the son of William and Hannah Loosing.

He had seven sisters, three brothers and two half-brothers. All preceded him in death with the exception of one sister. She is Caroline Ruwe of Lincoln.

Mr. Loosing was married to Emma Vogel Bosholn, who preceded him in death.

Mr. Loosing later re-married to Mrs. Hazel Vasbinder of Omaha, who survives him.

Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Fred Masters Jr. and one granddaughter, Gloria Masters, both of Arlington. There are also a number of nephews and nieces surviving.
