MRS. LORENZ PASSES AWAY IN OMAHA

Funeral services were held at Sievers-Sprick Funeral Home in Fort Calhoun on Thursday, august 26th for Nellie Frances Morehouse Lorenz, who passed away in Omaha on August 23rd. She was 96 years and six months old when she died. Burial was made in Fort Calhoun Cemetery. Reverend Sid Raymond officiated at the services.

Pallbearers were Jerry Morehouse, John Kratina, Tom Steyer, Phil Lorenzen, Jack Lorenzen, and Dick Kruse.

Nellie Frances Morehouse was born at Davenport, Nebraska on February 23, 1886. She was married to Claude Cloyd Lorenz on December 10, 1908. Her husband preceded her in death after 64 years of marriage. They had one daughter, Evelyn. In 1951 they moved to Omaha to be near their daughter and her family. For the past four and one half years, Mrs. Lorenz lived with her daughter.

Survivors include her daughter, son-in-law Morton Steyer; granddaughter Margaret; and several nieces and nephews.
