MRS. HINCHMAN BURIED AT 90

WIDOW OF WELL-KNOWN BLAIR PHYSICIAN DIED AT MCCOOK SUNDAY

Mrs. Hannah E. Hinchman, 90, widow of the late Dr. Joseph V. Hinchman, well-known Blair physician, died Sunday at McCook, where she had resided the past two months with a step-daughter, Mrs. Charles Anderson.

The body was returned to Blair. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m.Tuesday at the Bendorf Funeral Home, the Rev. D.D.Kennedy of First Baptist Church officiating. Interment followed in Blair Cemetery.

Mrs. Hinchman, then Mrs. Hannah Faber and Dr. Hinchman were married in Omaha Oct. 24, 1904. She was his third wife, the first two having died years before. As Hannah Harris, she once had operated the Harris Studio in Blair, located on West Washington St., where the Home Cafe is now situated.

Her husband, a Civil War veteran and resident of Nebraska 60 years, retired from active medical practice in 1920. At that time he was considered the oldest practicing physician in Nebraska. He died June 17, 1932.

Mrs. Hinchman sold her home on West Washington St. last year.

Surviving are her stepdaughter and several nephews and nieces.

HANNAH HINCHMAN DIES AT 90 YEARS

Mrs. Hannah Hinchman, wife of the late Dr. J. V. Hinchman of Blair, passed away March 30th at McCook at the home of her daughter where she has made her home for the last few years. At her death she was 90 years of age.

She came to this county when she was 16 years of age, and this has been her home all these years with the exception of the later years when she made her home in McCook with her daughter.

In her early life she was a photographer and conducted the business in the building now occupied by the Home Cafe. Her husband, the late Dr. Hinchman, died several years ago and she continued to live in Blair on West Washington street.

The body was brought to Blair where funeral rites were held at the Bendorf Funeral Home with Rev. D. D. Kennedy officiating, and interment was made in the Blair cemetery.
