DORIS HINDLEY IS BURIED ON FRIDAY

Funeral services were Friday, January 23, at First Methodist Church for Doris Hindley, 82. Rev. Gordon Patterson conducted the services. Burial was in Blair Cemetery.

Doris (Utterback) Hindley was born at Arapahoe, Nebraska on June 29, 1898 to Benjamin and Sophrania Jenkins Hindley. She passed away January 21, 1981, at the Blair Hospital.

She graduated from Arlington High School. She taught school four years, one year in South Dakota, Whitford, Maney and Long Creek in Washington.

She married Walter Leon Hindley January 25, 1922, at Fremont. She lived on the farm south of Blair in the McCarthy School district all her life.

She was very active in Royal Neighbors, Extension Clubs and was still an active member of the Extension Council. She was also a 4-H leader for many years.

She is survived by one son, Robert Hindley, Murfreesboro, Arkansas; and two daughtrers, Barbara (Mrs. Pete) Nohrenburg of Herman and Carla (Mrs. Mike) Salsbury of Blair. Seventeen grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren also survive her.

Her husband and one granddaughter preceded her in death.

Pallbearers were David Hindley, Keith Hindley, Kevin Hindley, Glen Hindley, Pat Salsbury, Raymond Nohrenburg and Hunter Nohrenburg.

Katie Flynn was vocalist. Bette Kirk was organist.

Campbell Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements for the services.
