LaVaughn E. Brosam, age 95, of Blair passed Dec.10 at her home in Blair. Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 15 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, Dec. 16 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Blair. Graveside services will be held at the Tekamah Cemetery.

LaVaughn was born on January 3, 1921, in Lebanon, Missouri, the daughter of Clarence and May Snow. LaVaughn attended country school in Lake Quinebaug thru the eighth grade. She was employed at the Dime Store in Tekamah as a young woman before meeting her husband Clarence "Red" Brosam.

Red and LaVaughn met in Decatur, Nebraska, walking up the street and they began to talk. They dated for four years and were married April 22, 1944.

LaVaughn loved to garden, sew, and did beautiful hand work with her crocheting and embroidery; she could stay up all night playing pinochle and other card games.

LaVaughn took in many other nieces and nephews for sleepovers. She loved them and they loved her. Red and LaVaughn loved to travel. They made several trips during their farming days. The family has enjoyed their stories and pictures along the way.

She is survived by her husband, Clarence "Red" Brosam, of Blair; sisters, Norma Kay and Donna (Jerry) Kobs; many nieces and nephews; and extended family.

She was proceeded in death by her parents and brothers, Wilbur Snow and Lloyd Snow.
