Kira Elizabeth Hales, 7 years, of Fremont, NE entered into rest on Saturday, Dec. 10 at Children's Hospital in Omaha, NE. Kira was born August 26, 2009, in Fremont, NE to Jerrad Hales and Elizabeth Zastera. Kira was in 1st grade at Milliken Park School. She liked hard rock music, horror movies, muscle cars and loved to go places, but her favorite thing to do was spend time with her father.

Kira suffered from nonketotic hyperglycemia and was an organ donor. She is survived by her father, Jerrad Hales, and significant other, Heather Silvey of Fremont; mother, Elizabeth Zastera of Fremont; grandparents, Terry Zastera of Fremont, Phyllis Steele of Rockyford, S.D., and Jerry and Julia Hales of Bountiful, Utah.

She was preceded in death by grandfather, Ken Steele, and grandmother, Dianne Zastera.

Funeral service is at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation is on Thursday, Dec. 15 from 5 to 8 p.m. and Friday 1 hour prior to service all at the funeral home.
