Ronald Dean Hansen, age 73, of Fremont, passed away December 23, 2016, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at First Christian Church in Blair at 10:30 a.m. Graveside services will follow in the Orum Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Ron Hansen was born on July 11, 1943, in Fremont, the son of LeRoy and Violet Hansen. He attended Neff and Bisbee school and graduated from Arlington High School. After high school, he worked as a farmer and later started his own lawn business.

Ron was an avid fan of John Wayne and a skilled woodworker and enjoyed making furniture and other projects.

Ron is survived by his brothers and sisters, Leroy (Ann) Hansen of Florida, Ann Hansen of Fremont, Roger (Karen) Hansen of Fremont, Richard (Marian) Hansen of Blair, Edwin (Linda) Hansen of Blair, Sharon (Lanny) Bobo of Colorado; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings: Larry Hansen, Wayne Hansen, Linda Hansen and Jerald Hansen.
