Floyd S. Hinz, 75, of Blair, died at the Blair Memorial Community Hospital on June 17, 1986. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 19, at First Lutheran Church, Rev. Carl F. Schattauer Jr. officiating, with burial in the Blair Cemetery.

Hinz was born on July 24, 1910, in Blair, the son of Chris and Cora Spring Hinz. He was a lifetime resident of Washington County.

On December 23, 1934, he married Viola Nelsen of Orum. The couple farmed until 1956 at which time they moved to Blair where Hinz worked as maintenance man at BMCH and later was the x-ray technician. He was employed for 28 years with the hospital.

Survivors include his wife Viola, one son, Terry Hinz of Owensboro, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Troy, Jessica, Lance and Trent, and one great granddaughter.

Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth F. Jensen, Leon Jensen, Everett Kingry, Larry Nelson, Bill Rasmussen, Kenneth Truhlsen, Kenneth Beales, Ralph Beales, Ernie Bohs, George Carmichael, Alvin Ohrt, Everett Stork. Memorials may be directed to Blair Hospital or First Lutheran Church.
