Mrs. Dorothea Donnelly died at an Omaha hospital on Monday following an illness of lengthy duration. She suffered a paralytic stroke about eighteen weeks ago and last week she fell and broke her hip after which she was confined to an Omaha hospital. The deceased was born at Red Oak, Mo., on July 23, 1874, and later moved to Harrison County, Iowa, with her parents. In 1888 she was married to Henry Matthews and to this union two children were born, both of whom survive her. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Jesse Watts of this city; a son, Wilbur Asbury Matthews, of Council Bluffs; three brothers: Virgil, Hardin and Clarence Campbell; and two sisters: Mrs. Frank Stricklett and Mrs. Nell Walton. Funeral services were conducted from the Christian church yesterday afternoon with the Rev. A.J. Hargett officiating, after which interment was made in the Blair cemetery.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 30, from the home of Mrs. Jesse Watts for her mother, Mrs. Champ Donnelly, whose death occurred April 28 in an Omaha hospital where she was taken about a week before her death.

She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Jesse Watts and a son, Wilbur Matthews of Council Bluffs, also three brothers and two sisters, one of whom, Mrs. Frank H. Stricklett, resides in this city.

Services were conducted by Rev. Hargett of the Christian church of this city and burial made in the local cemetery. The Ladies Auxiliary of which deceased was a member had a part in the services.
