Janet Joyce Nollen, 71, died Jan. 27, 2017, at Methodist Hospital in Omaha. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at the First Lutheran Church in Blair. Graveside services will follow at the Blair Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 31, 2017, at Campbell Aman Funeral Home with family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Janet J. Nollen was born on December 20, 1945, in Harlan, Iowa, the daughter of Harold and Florence (Pieper) Palmer. She was raised in Harlan, Iowa, and attended Harlan High School. On June 1, 1963, she married Larry F. Nollen and they had three children.

Janet worked for Artex and Enterprise Publishing in Blair until her retirement. She was a member of the Blair Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Blair Women's Fire Auxiliary. Janet sold Avon for many years and reached the highest level of President's Club. She enjoyed playing keno and bingo and spending time with family.

Janet is survived by her husband, Larry, of Blair; daughter, Renee (Nick) West, of Blair; son, Dale Nollen, of Omaha; daughter, Dawn (Eric) Hahn, of Missouri Valley, Iowa; brother and sister-in-law, Doug and Nadeen Palmer, of Elk Horn, Iowa; sister-in-law, Janet Palmer, of Clearfield, Utah; brother-in-law, Ronald Nollen, of Independence, Iowa; sister-in-law, Marie Greiner, of Harlan, Iowa; stepchildren, Kristy Davis of Harlan, Larry (Marna) Nollen Jr., of Columbus, Georgia, Joan and Doug Andersen, of Jackson, Iowa, and Anthony Nollen of Industry, Illinois; grandchildren, Joshua, Shawn, Ashley, Kelley, Bryan, Erika, Justin, Deric and Britney; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Chazzy and Ryker; very special friends, Deborah Wehrli, Blair, Shelly Majors, Blair, Janice Miller, Blair; numerous nephews and nieces.

Jan was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Florence Palmer; brothers, Clayton Palmer and Gerald Palmer.
