Ashlock, Richard "Butch" D. Age 76 Weeping Water, NE. Died on Saturday, January 21, 2017, in Syracuse, NE. Born on November 11, 1940 to Glen and Ella (Wade) Ashlock near Weeping Water. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War (discharged July 24 1970), and was a member of American Legion Post #237. Butch was a skilled Welder, working construction until he opened his own machine shop, Ashlock Welding. He married Sandra Day on February 4, 1972 in Golden, CO. Preceded in death by his wife Sandy; parents, Glen and Ella Ashlock; sister Marylou Mason; brother-in-law Bill Mason; and nephew Kevin Mason. He is survived by his daughter, Merry (Mike) O'Malley of Blair, NE; son Bob Enoa of Omaha; 8 grandchildren, Corey (April) O'Malley of Papillion NE, Ryan (Autumn) O'Malley of Vail AZ, Mike (Nessa) O'Malley of Foster City, Sarah (Bill) Montello of Omaha; Paul Enoa of Omaha; and Kaitlyn, Madison, and Lauren Ashlock of Elmwood, NE; 8 great grandchildren, Alicia, Sonora, Kylie, Erin, Thalia, Gino, Angelina, and Gabriel; 2 great-great grandchildren, Isaiah and Zayden; 3 nephews, Steve (Rachel) Mason, Terry (Sherri) Mason, and Jeff Mason all of Weeping Water; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. CELEBRATION of LIFE GATHERING 1-5pm on Saturday, February 4, with Military Honors at 3pm, all at Weeping Water Community Building (Gibson Hall). Interment will be at a later date. Memorials to Weeping Water Rescue Squad, or donor's choice.
