ECHTENKAMP RITES WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 29

Funeral services for Leonard Echtenkamp, 56, retired farmer, were held in Fremont Wednesday afternoon. Services were held at the Trinity Lutheran church and interment was made in Memorial Park cemetery.

Mr. Echtenkamp died Saturday. He had been in failing health for several months.

Born on a farm near Arlington on August 29, 1894, Mr. Echtenkamp attended country schools, was married July 31, 1917 to Esther Scheer of Arlington, and lived on the home farm. He farmed until 1944 when the family moved to Fremont. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran church.

Survivors include the widow, two sons, Earl of Fremont and Glen, of Omaha; three daughters: Mrs. Vernon Brackett, Mrs. Loren Goracke and Mrs. Donald Sims, all of Fremont; two brothers, J. W. Echtenkamp of Fremont and W.G. Echtenkamp of Wayne; a sister, Mrs. Ed Meyer of Wayne and 12 grandchildren.
