Services Tuesday For Raymond Echtenkamp

Funeral services are 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 25, at First Lutheran Church in Fremont for Raymond W. Echtenkamp, 71, of Fremont and formerly of the Arlington-Elkhorn area, who died January 21, 1983 at Memorial Hospital of Dodge County. Burial is in Prospect Hill Cemetery at Elkhorn.

Raymond W. Echtenkamp was born January 3, 1912, to August and Amanda Scheer Echtenkamp. He spent his early years on the family farm north of Arlington.

His first wife, Mildred White, preceded him in death. They had farmed in the Arlington-Elkhorn area and lived in Arlington until 1960 when they moved to Elkhorn.

He married Irene White Echtenkamp on June 18, 1977. They lived in Fremont where they were members of First Lutheran Church.

In addition to his first wife, Mildred, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary; and his father, August.

He is survived by his wife, Irene; a son, William of Kennard; and step-daughters, Mrs. Everett (Bonnie) Stout, Arlington; and Mrs. Steve (Bernadine) Marshall of St. Edwards, Nebraska, sisters: Mrs. Harold (Selma) Brandert of Hooper, Mrs. Leonard (Rozella) Laaker of Blair; mother, Amanda Echtenkamp of Fremont; three granddaughters; and four step-grandchildren also survive him.

Pallbearers are the Rev. Delwayne Hahn, Robert White, Rodney White, Dennis Laaker, David Brandert and Roger Quinn.

Memorials may be made to the church.

Ludvigsen Mortuary in Fremont is in charge of the services.
