Bruce Block, 75

Bruce block, 75, of Tekamah, died Friday, April 4, 2003 at the Tekamah Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral Services were 3 pm Sunday, April 6 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tekamah with the Rev. Jane Boeschen officiating.

Bruce Block was born April 1, 1927 in Mondamin, Iowa to Emil and Idella (Schestedt) Block. He was a graduate of Missouri Valley, Iowa High School.

He served in the US Army during World War II, where he attained the rank of Corporal.

On May 22, 1949, he married Maryann Stulgies in Omaha.

Mr. Block farmed in the Lyons and Oakland area for 27 years before moving to Colorado in 1977, where he owned and operated businesses throughout the state.

He moved back to Nebraska in 1993, following his retirement and has been a resident at Tekamah Health and Rehab Center since 1996.

He is survived by his wife, Maryann, of Herman; sons Randall of Merritt Island, FL, Brian of Denver CO, Robert of Herman; a daughter, Linda Gonzales of Blair; two grandchildren; one great grandchild; brothers, Walter of Newcastle, Norman of Normal, IL, and Robert of Fergus Falls, MN.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Carl Block.

Memorials are suggested to the Tekamah Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
