Harry Noel, 75, is Buried

Kennard Man Succumbs Following a Heart Attack at his Home

Funeral services for Harry Noel, 75-year-old Kennard man who died of a heart attack last Wednesday night, were held Sunday.

The Campbell Mortuary of Blair was in charge of the rites, held Sunday afternoon at the Kennard Lutheran Church at 2 o’clock.

Surviving Mr. Noel are his wife, Minerva; three sons, Rolla Noel of Kennard, Paul Noel of Tekamah and William Noel of Grinnell, Ia; and two daughters, Mrs. Glen Lyons (May) of Taft, Calif., and Mrs. Renard Ladd (Beulah) of Blair.

Harry Joseph Noel was born on January 31, 1876 at Williamstown, Penn. He came with his parents to St. Edward, Nebraska at the age of 9 and remained in that community until 1901.

He was united in marriage in 1901 to Miss Minerva Sands. To this union were born six children. Mr. and Mrs. Noel first moved to Kennard in 1917, but later moved. They returned to take up their residence here again in 1932 and have lived here since that time.

Mr. Noel passed away Wednesday evening, October 31, 1951, at the age of 75 years. His son Lloyd preceded him in death on April 4, 1942. He is survived by his wife and five children, Paul of Decatur, Mrs. Glenn Lyons (Mae) of Taft, Calif., William of Grinnell, Iowa, Rolla of Kennard and Mrs. Renard Ladd (Beula) of Blair, eighteen grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and four sisters living at Williamstown, Penn.

He was a member of Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard at his death. He gave unselfishly of his services to the Church in various ways.

Funeral services were held Sunday at 2 p.m. at the church with burial in the Kennard cemetery.
