LANE HOGAN DIES FRIDAY IN OMAHA

Funeral services were held Tuesday, September 6, at Hamel and Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah for Lane Hogan of Craig, Nebraska, who died suddenly of a heart attack at Immanuel Hospital in Omaha on September 2, 1983.

Lane Hogan was born at Craig, Nebraska, on October 12, 1906, and was a lifetime resident of the Alder Grove community. The farm on which he spent his entire life was established by his father, Daniel F. Hogan. The farm had been in the family for over 100 years.

He attended Alder Grove Elementary School and graduated from Craig High School. He was an active member of the Masonic order and was honored in recent years as a 50 year Mason.

He married Mary Elizabeth Wray on March 14, 1933. She preceded him in death in April, 1982.

He married Elva Hennig on September 27, 1982, at Decatur, Nebraska. She survives.

He was also preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia, who died in December, 1974.

He is survived by his wife, Elva Hogan, Craig; and three sons, Brian of Conrad, Montana, David of Redding, California, and Michael of Sioux City, Iowa. A sister, Dorothy of Syracuse, Nebraska; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several step-children and step grandchildren also survive him.
