Carro M. Vogt, 79

Carro M. Vogt, 79, of Fremont and longtime resident of Blair, passed away February 27, 2017, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, March 4, 2017, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Orum. Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home.

Carro M. Vogt was born October 14, 1937, in Omaha, Nebraska to Walter and Gladys (Sievers) Boysen. She attended school south of Fremont at District 11 before transferring to Fremont High and graduating with the class of 1955. Carro married Donald H. Vogt in April of 1958 in Fremont. The couple moved to a farm west of Blair and raised four children: Crystal, Penny, Lori, and Mike. Carro was a mother and house wife for many years before finding work at the Blair Meat Plant and Carlson/Drefs. She then worked at DL Blair for 20 years before retiring. She was a long-time Avon Lady, winning two trips to Hawaii. Carro was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Orum and a member at Salem Lutheran Church in Fremont.

Upon moving to Fremont in 2013, Carro quickly made friends at the Fremont Friendship Center. She enjoyed traveling and took advantage of local bus trips.

Carro is survived by her children: Crystal Vogt of Blair, Penny (Larry) Schutt of Omaha, Lori Vogt of Maricopa, AZ, and Mike (Jen) Vogt of Fremont; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Donald H. Vogt; parents; brother, Jack L. Boysen; sister-in-law, Shirley Boysen; and nephew, Bret Boysen.
