Ronald L. Moore, 73, of Blair, died Saturday, April 9, 2011, in Omaha.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 12, at First Christian Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery.

Ronald Lee Moore was born Sept. 5, 1937, in Blair to Ben and Laura (Campbell) Moore. He spent his life in Blair.

He served in the United States Army from 1955 to 1957.

In June of 1961, he married his soul mate, Sharlene (Shad) Hovendick of Herman.

He spent 25 years driving truck and 14 years with the Blair Community Schools. He was an avid sportsman. He loved fishing, hunting, his boat, baseball, and Nebraska football. But his greatest love was his grandson, Aaron.

He is survived by his wife, Sharlene; daughter and son-in-law, Rhonda and Barry Strain; son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Lori Moore; grandson, Aaron Strain; step-grandson, Jordan Vlasek; brothers, Dale and Floyd “Beaner” Moore; numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Carol “Coon Dog” Moore, Edward “Edge: Moore, Joe Moore; and beloved sister, Colleen “Kay” Kephart.

Campbell-Aman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
