SERVICES FOR MARY HOGAN ARE HELD

Funeral services were held on Friday, April 30 at the Alder Grove Church at 2 p.m. for Mrs. Lane (Mary) Hogan, who died at the Oakland Memorial Hospital on April 28, after a long illness.

Burial was at the Craig Cemetery.

Mary Elizabeth Wray was born on October 29, 1906, to Lucinda Lynch and Harry Wray at Maryville, Missouri, the younger of two children.

When she was three, her parents moved to Seward, Nebraska where they lived and she was educated. She attended the Van Sant School of Business in Omaha, graduating in 1926.

After her graduation, she became an employee of the Plateau State Bank in Herman as a bookkeeper and secretary and worked there for four years. She later worked in offices in Omaha.

She married Lane Logan of Craig in 1933. She was an active member of the Alder Grove Extension Club, serving that group for many years on local and county levels.

She joined the Methodist Church at Seward, Nebraska, in 1922, and later transferred her membership to Alder Grove Methodist Church near Craig where she maintained an active membership for nearly 50 years. She was also a member of the Nodway Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution of Maryville, Missouri.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Virginia, in 1974.

She is survived by her husband, Lane, and three sons, Brian Hogan, Conrad, Montana; David Hogan, Redding California; and Michael Hogan, Sioux City, Iowa. Eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild also survive her.
