Austin Lee Hansen, 22 years, of Omaha, Nebraska formerly of Fremont, Nebraska died, Tuesday, August 23, 2016 as the result of an automobile accident, north of Gretna, Nebraska.

Austin was born March 11, 1994 in Fremont. He lived in rural Hooper, Nebraska and Fremont. He was baptized at Bluffs Trinity Lutheran Church near Fremont. He attended Millard South High School in Omaha, Nebraska and Logan View High School near Hooper. He moved to Omaha in 2013 and was employed as an electrician for Gateway in Gretna. He was a member of Sinai Lutheran Church in Fremont. He liked Subaru cars, was a reptile lover, enjoyed woodworking and Smurf’s. He loved spending time with his friends and family.

He is survived by his father, Ron Hansen and special friend, David K. of Kansas City, Missouri; mother and stepfather, Jennifer (Ruether) and Gerald Layton of Hooper; brothers, Seth Hansen of Council Bluffs, Iowa and Justin Kyser of Omaha; sister, Abbie (Brittany) Hansen, Council Bluffs; grandparents, Ronald and Debra Hansen of Arlington, Nebraska and Glen and Vickie Ruether of Hooper; several aunts, uncles and cousins; girlfriend, Megan Tweedy of Omaha.

He was preceded in death by his great grandparents, Norman and Marge Jorgensen, Dale Hansen, and Bill and Frieda Ruether.

Memorial Service will be 10:30 A.M., Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Sinai Lutheran Church in Fremont. The Rev. Al Duminy will officiate. Family will receive friends on Friday from 5 PM to 8 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont.

Memorials may be directed to the family for further designation.
