Donna Arlene (Thielfoldt) Johnson, 82

Donna Arlene (Thielfoldt) Johnson was born to Paul and Lillie (Pettit) Noel on April 11, 1934, in Kennard, Nebraska. She passed away on March 17, 2017, at Dunklau Gardens in Fremont, Nebraska, after suffering a stroke. She lived, and was educated most of her childhood, in the Craig area; she graduated from Craig High School in 1951.

After marrying in 1952, and raising her four children on a farm southeast of Uehling, she worked at the Oakland Nursing Home for over 25 years. Donna also attended Northeast Community College in Norfolk and obtained her LPN.

In 1995, she married Stanley A. Johnson and lived in Oakland until his passing in 2012. Together, they enjoyed retirement with boating, camping and fishing. In 2014, she moved to assisted living and nursing care in Fremont due to failing health.

She was a member of the Congregational Church in Uehling for many years, and later the First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oakland. She was a longtime member of the Wo-He-Lo Women’s Club in the Uehling area.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Stan; infant daughter, Shelley; sisters, Vera Lindberg, Myrna Morgan; brothers, Don Noel, Virgil Noel.

Survivors include her daughter, Renee Thielfoldt (and special friend Butch) of Cedar Bluffs, NE; three sons: Gary (Cindy) Thielfoldt of Omaha, NE, Brian (Deb) Thielfoldt of Fremont, and James Thielfoldt of Aurora, CO; two sisters: Myrtle (Don) Haeffner of Lyons, NE, Delores Lindberg of Tekamah, NE; 9 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.

The memorial service is Saturday, April 1, 2017, 10:30 a.m. at First Evangelical Lutheran Church in Oakland, NE.

There will be no visitation. Burial will be at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the family for later designation.
