Fred Frahm, 77, is Dead

Lifetime Calhoun Resident a Heart Victim; 50 Years a Mason

Fort Calhoun—Fred H. Frahm, 77, native and lifetime resident of Fort Calhoun, died suddenly Monday morning at his home here. A heart attack caused his death.

Son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Frahm, pioneer residents of this vicinity, he was born June 3, 1871. For many years, prior to his retirement, he was in the mercantile business.

Mr. Frahm was married as a young man to Sade C. Beales, and to them was born a daughter, Catherine C. Frahm.

Surviving Mr. Frahm besides his wife and daughter are two brothers, Otto and William Frahm, both of Fort Calhoun; and a sister, Mrs. May Rix, Fort Calhoun.

Member of Solomon Lodge No. 10, A.F. & A.M., Mr. Frahm had been a prominent Mason for more than 50 years. He held several offices in the lodge.

The funeral is being held this (Thursday) afternoon at the Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Fort Calhoun Cemetery, with members of Solomon Lodge in charge of the rites.

Fred H. Frahm Dies Suddenly

Of Pioneer Family. Born and Reared in Calhoun

Fred H. Frahm, 77 years 6 month old, died suddenly Monday morning at his home in Calhoun. He had been subject to heart trouble for some time and this was the cause of his death.

Deceased was a native of Calhoun and his parents were pioneers of the county. He was a man of high character and held the respect of the entire community. He had in the past served as mayor, as councilman and as a member of the school board and took a deep interest in the affairs of his town and county.

He was a Mason in high standing and had been awarded the Jordon Medal and the fifty year Masonic pin. He was a charter member of Naomi Chapter of the O.E.S. and here too he had been a fifty year member.

He leaves to mourn him his wife and one daughter, also two brothers, William and Otto G., and a sister, Mrs. May Rix.

Funeral services are being held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 ofclock from the Calhoun Presbyterian church and interment will be made in the Calhoun cemetery.
