Services were May 27 at Rose Hill Memorial Park in Whittier, Calif.

Morris E. Hoier was born May 8, 1908, in Tascher, Austria, to Martin and Eva Hoier. He came to America in the spring of 1912. He attended Pleasant View School north of Blair.

He married Norma Robinson at Yankton, S.D., in 1954. They moved to California where he worked as a union truck driver until his retirement.

He is survived by his wife, Norma; a daughter, Diana Schneider, and a grandson, Brian Schneider, all of California; and a sister, Martha Hineline of Fort Calhoun.

He was prededed in death by a daughter, Darlene; and a sister, Anna Hineline.
