Services were Monday, Dec. 9, at First Lutheran Church in Blair for Nellie L. Hoier, 91, of Blair who died Dec. 6, 1996 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Home in Blair. Burial was in Prospect Hill Cemetery at Elkhorn.

Nellie L. Hoier was born July 14, 1905 at Kennard to John A. and Emma Winterburn Johnson. She attended Mattes School in rural Kennard.

She married Leonard C. Hoier in 1922. They farmed in rural Kennard until 1962 when they moved to Washington, Nebr. In 1976 they moved to Fremont. She had lived at Good Shepherd Luthern Home for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband in January 1980; a brother, Johnny; two infant grandchildren and one grandson, Nick Hoier.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Dorothy and Merritt Rosenbaum of Mesa, Ariz.; a son and daughter-in-law, Mel and Marge Hoier of Herman; five grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Campbell-Aman Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
