Kathleen H. Puls, 72

Kathleen H. Puls, 72 years, of Fremont, Nebraska, formerly of Arlington, Nebraska, died Thursday, March 23, 2017, at Nye Point in Fremont.

Kathleen was born June 16, 1944, at Blair, Nebraska to Fredrick T. and Edith J. (Thaden) Puls. She grew up on a farm in Washington County near Kennard, NE and graduated from Blair High School, Blair, NE in 1962. After graduation, she worked at Boys Town and J.C. Penney in Omaha and Charleston’s, Inc., Buckridge Plumbing and Heating and Oriental Trading, all in Fremont. She lived in Arlington from 1972 to 2008 before moving to Fremont.

Kathleen was baptized at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Bennington and confirmed at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Kennard.

Kathleen’s greatest joy and what she was known for her was her creativity in sewing and making hand crafted items. She always had a project or two that she would be working on. Through the years as a seamstress, she sewed bridesmaid and wedding dresses, as well as crocheting, knitting, and painting, and loved animals.

Survivors include three nephews, Tom (Cindy) Braesch of Fremont, Robert (LeAnn) Braesch of Grand Island, NE and Bryan (Luz) Braesch of San Diego, CA; one niece, Robin (Braesch) and Pete Rix of Fremont; many great-nieces and nephews and great-great-nieces and nephews who all loved her and will miss her dearly.

Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Margaret (Puls) Braesch; brother-in-law, Delbert Braesch.

A Celebration of Kathleen’s life was held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 27, 2017 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont with the Rev. David Paul officiating. Interment was at the German Cemetery by Bennington, NE.
