Poem

Little we knew that morning,

God was going to call your name.

In life we loved you dearly,

and in death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you,

you did not go alone; for part of us

went with you, the day God called you home.

You left us peaceful memories, your love is still

our guide; and though we cannot see you,

you are always at our side.

Our family chain is broken,

and nothing seems the same;

but as God calls us one by one,

the chain will link again.

Obituary:

Michael Edward Ferm, born July 16, 1992 in Omaha, Nebraska. At a young age Michael was already full of spirit, and a special kind of love. He really enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and camping trips with his family and friends. The Boundary Waters was one of his favorite places to go fishing and hiking. He enjoyed working in his garden, and mastering recipes; he was quite the food critic. When he was cooking there was 100% chance that some music would be playing in the background; he had such a passion for music. Michael was a very gifted and talented young man with a variety of abilities. He worked hard with these gifts, wrestling varsity as a freshman in high school, and he made winning a game of pool look easy. Michael could build or fix almost anything, he became a skilled welder, and loved people for who they were. May he rest in peace.

Survived by father Michael; sister Katherine Ferm; grandparents, Jerry and Mary Ferm; aunts, Karen Walker and Leslie (Bob) Branyon; uncle Kevin (Chris) Ferm.

Visitation begins Saturday at 12pm at the mortuary. Memorial Service Saturday, 1pm at the mortuary. Memorials to Blair Area Community Foundation.
