Weston—The funeral Mass for Emma V. Rezac, 86, of Weston will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Weston.

Rezac died Friday, April 15, 1994 at Saunders County Community Hospital in Wahoo.

Emma Buresh was born Dec. 20, 1907, at Brainard and graduated from Brainard High School. She worked in Lincoln after graduating. She lived in Weston since 1938 and had worked for Blue Star Foods in Wahoo during the 1980’s.

She was a member of Royal Neighbors of America, Saunders County Historical Society, Saunders County Genealogical Society and St. John’s Catholic Church in Weston.

Buresh married Emil E. “Peck” Rezac June 7, 1938, in Wilber. He died July 19, 1973.

Survivors include a son, Eddie of Wahoo; a daughter, Virginia Conley of Omaha; two brothers, George of Omaha and Leonard of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and seven grandchildren.

The Rev. John Cooper will officiate Monday’s service. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Svoboda Funeral Home in Wahoo and an hour before Monday’s service. A rosary will be 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the church cemetery.

A memorial has been established to St. John’s Elementary School in Weston.
