Early Saturday morning heart failure ushered an old resident of this county into the Great Beyond in the twinkling of an eye. Arising, as was his custom, at an early hour, Lewis Hoier of Kennard started for the rear of his residence to feed the hogs, but dropped dead a few moments after leaving the house. He was soon discovered lying upon the ground and carried to the house, where life was found to be extinct. Mr. Hoier leaves a wife and daughter living in Kennard. The funeral was held Monday afternoon at the Danish church in that city and was attended by a large circle of friends who had known him for many years.
