Ellenora Ingrid Plugge, 93

Ellenora Ingrid Plugge, age 93 of Blair, passed away April 25, 2017, at CHI Health Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 29, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at First Lutheran Church in Blair. Visitation will be held Friday, April 28 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Campbell Aman Funeral Home in Blair.

Ellenora was born on December 28, 1923, to Rev. P.C. and Kirsten (Schmidt) Jensen. After high school, she attended Dana College and earned her teaching certificate. She taught full time until 1954 and then continued to substitute. On April 11, 1943, she was united in marriage to Robert Plugge in Kennard, Nebraska.

She loved being involved in multiple organizations and clubs, including PEO Chapter HL. She was very active as a long-time member of First Lutheran Church in Blair, and loved traveling with her family and friends.

Ellenora is survived by her children: Roger (Juli) Plugge of Blair, Randall Plugge of Blair, Rita (Anthony) Christensen of Omaha; daughter-in-law, Patty Plugge of Blair; brother-in-law, William Plugge of Kennard; grandchildren: Jay Plugge, Jon Plugge, Joy Mourton, Hank (Malissie) Plugge, Max Plugge, and Kirsten Engelken; 6 great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Richard "Rick;" sisters, Bertha Olsen, Dania Hundtoft and Ingrid Matzen; and brother, Ansgar Jensen.

Memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church in Blair or the Blair Public Library and Technology Center.
