Passions Included Family, Cars, and Fishing

James E. Allen Jr., 42, of Blair, died Wednesday, May 11, 2011, in Blair.

Memorial services were held Saturday, May 14, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home.

James Edward Allen Jr. was born May 21, 1968, in Houma, La., to Sandra and James Allen Sr.

He spent most of his life in Texas and had recently moved to Blair, where he lived with his father and stepmother.

He was married 25 years to Melinda Allen of Palm Harbor, Fla.

Some of his favorite passions included cars, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was very kind, considerate and well-liked by every person who knew him. He spent a lot of time with his family growing up camping, fishing, and anything to do with cars.

He is loved and truly missed by all of his family who cherish the time spent with him.

He is survived by his wife, Melinda, and children, Brittney and Trey of Palm Harbor, Fla.; father and stepmother, James Sr. and Susan Allen of Blair; mother, Sandra of Kener, La.; sisters, Kaelynn of Corington, La., Melanie of Metraie, La., and Brook of Kiln, Miss.
