Services for Elsie Elizabeth Blomgren, 67, were held at 2 p.m., Monday, September 14, 1987, at First Christian Church in Blair. Rev. Owen Wilmot officiated.

Burial was followed at the Blair Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Randall H. Blomgren; Gary Hansen; Gary Hansen II; Greg Mayfield; Brett A. Nelson; Alan Svendgard; Lawrence Scott, and Carl Thompson.

She died September 11, 1987 at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

She was born September 27, 1919 in Blair to Harley and Amy May Bell (Hazzard) Appleby.

A graduate of Blair High School, she was a member of the Blair Eagles Club. She owned Elsie’s Hobby Shop-Ceramics.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Floyd Appleby.

Survivors include daughter Connie M. Nelson of Blair; sons Gary M. Hansen of Faith, South Dakota; Robert H. Hansen of Blair, and Randall H. Blomgren of Charles City, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; sister Pearl E. Livermore of Reeds Spring, Missouri, and brother Byron H. Appleby of Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
