Blair native Robert L. Holiday, 36, of Tekamah, died June 4, 2010, following a farm accident on a hog facility near West Point.

Services were Thursday, June 10, at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tekamah. Interment was in the Tekamah Cemetery.

Robert Lyle Holiday was born Feb. 7, 1973, in Blair, to Frank and Linda (Hopkins) Holiday. He graduated from Lyons-Decatur Northeast High School in 1993.

On Jun 27, 1998, he married Tracie Zimmerman at Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Tekamah.

Mr. Holiday enjoyed camping, fishing, and mushroom hunting with family and friends. He also enjoyed sitting around the fire pit near the deck that he built enjoying time with those close to him. Some of his passions included grilling and cooking for his family. He loved working on home improvement projects and landscaping, especially his ponds. He was a dedicated husband, father, son and brother.

He is survived by his wife, Tracie and two children, Wyatt and Bailey of Tekamah; his parents, Frank and Linda Holiday of Decatur; brother and sister-in-law, F. Lee and Cheryl Holiday of Decatur; sister and brother-in-law, Teresa and Dan Copeland of Martinez, Calif.; father- and mother-in-law, Harry and Diane Zimmeramn of Tekamah; brother-in-law, Greg Zimmerman of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a niece; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Jim and Alice Hopkins, and Forest and Ruth Holiday.

Pelan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
