Robert P. Holman, age 63, of Decatur died Friday, July 28, 1989 at the Burgess Memorial Hospital in Onawa, Iowa after a lengthy period of declining health.

Robert Holman was born on March 5, 1926 at Decatur to Esta (Crouch)and Dr. Everett I. Holman, D.V.M.

He owned and operated Bob's Barber Shop in Decatur for several years, and later worked for many years for the Burt County Bridge Commission in the Toll Booth. A U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, Bob was a member of the Decatur V.F.W. Post and also a member of the Masonic Lodge at Decatur.

Survivors include his wife, Bernadine Holman of Whiting, Iowa; one brother, Keith Holman and wife, Beulah of Blair; two sisters, Helen Halliday of Seattle, Washington and Patricia Ferguson and husband, Jon of Omaha; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Kathryn Kilborn.

Graveside Cremation Committal Services were July 31 at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Decatur with Rev. Marion H. Knoell officiating. Military Graveside Honors were condurcte by the Decatur V.F.W. and American L.)egion Posts.

Arrangements were handled by Hamel & Peck Funeral Home in Tekamah.
