MRS. OSCAR HOLMES DIES

WIDOW OF BLAIR BAKER DIES IN OMAHA AT AGE 74; FUNERAL MONDAY

Mrs. Anna Holmes, 74, widow of Oscar Holmes, died in Omaha Saturday.

She and her husband, whose death occurred here a number of years ago, operated the Oscar Holmes Bakery for some 22 years at the present site of the Blair Appliance Co., from 1922 until Mr. Holmes' death in 1944.

Mrs. Holmes, whose Omaha residence was at 4001 North 26th St., is survived by two brothers and two sisters. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday in Omaha, burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

MRS. O. HOLMES RITES LAST MONDAY

Mrs. Oscar Holmes, well known in Blair, who recently passed away, was buried in Omaha last Monday. Mrs. Holmes and her husband were in the bakery business in Blair for many years, and while here she endeared herself to many people.

The husband was also a favorite and was known for his congenial disposition. After his death, Mrs. Holmes lived in the Blair apartments, but later moved to Omaha where she had a sister.

Blair friends will grieve her death.
