"A 14 year old son of Mr.John Kahnk, who lives out on the Papio was buried in the cemetery in this city last Tuesday; Rev. Mr. Reed officiating. The death resulted from an attack of scarlet fever, and we understand is the second death in the same family of late from that disease. A large concourse of neighbors followed the remains to the grave."

Note: Buried in Blair Potter’s Field. Newspaper was printed on Thursday, April 3. The burial was Tuesday, April 1. The death was approximately March 29, 1879. The Vig notes at the Danish American Archive has a sibling born on 8 Sept 1878 and passing away of 23 March 1879 being buried with this brother.
