Services for Helen F. Holstein, 65, were Monday, May 15, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Alta, Iowa. Burial was in the Schaller Cemetery. Rev. John C. Chadwidk officiated.

Helen F. Holstein died May 12, 1989 following a brief illness.

She was born January 8, 1924 at Blair. She graduated from Blair High School in 1941 and married Raymond Holstein March 23, 1944 in Blair.

The couple was active in farming and made their home at Alta until 1958 when they moved to Schaller.

She was a gardener and homemaker. She was a member of the Praise Circle, Trinity Lutheran Church in Alta and the Schaller VFW Auxiliary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Chris and Emma Nelson; and a brother, Harland.

She is survived by her husband, Raymond of Schaller; two sons, Ronald of Schaller and Robert of Fort Dodge; a daughter, Sheryl Platt of Fort Dodge and seven grandchildren.
