MR. HOTELING DIES, 84

LONGTIME COUNTIAN DIES HERE; ONCE FARMED NEAR BENNINGTON

Frank William Hoteling, 84, of 700 West Front St., longtime resident of Washington County and former Bennington farmer, died Sunday at his home here.

Mr. Hoteling was born June 18, 1872, in southern part of the county and farmed in the county until he moved to Blair several years ago.

Mr. Hoteling farmed for 13 years near Bennington. He had spent 34 years at Burke, S. D. and was married Dec., 1896 to Mary Jane Fee. He came to Blair in 1943 upon his retirement.

Surviving Mr. Hoteling are his wife Mary Jane, and two sons, Roy Hoteling of Baldwin Park, Calif., and Kermit Hoteling of Florence Station, Omaha.

Funeral rites were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Bendorf Funeral home in Blair, followed by another rite at 3 p.m. at the Kremer Funeral Home in Benson. Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Omaha.

The Rev. Melvon Ireland of First Methodist Church officiated.

Pallbearers were former South Dakota neighbors.
