Beverley J. Skinner, 80

Taught School in Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska

Beverley J. Skinner, 80, died Wednesday, May 25, 2011, at her home in Omaha.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Orum. Interment will be in the Lincoln Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Monday, May 30, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m.

Beverley J. Lyngholm was born Jan. 10, 1931, in Sidney, to Harold and Violet (Johnson) Lyngholm. She attended school in Bronson and Sidney and was a graduate of Colorado State College.

She taught school in Colorado, Wyoming and Nebraska. She also was a reservationist for Braniff Airlines in Colorado.

On Sept. 28, 1957, she married Marion Skinner in Colorado Springs, Colo. After they moved to Blair, she became secretary of Immanuel and Emmaus Lutheran Churches.

She is survived by her husband, Marion; children, Thomas Skinner of Columbus, Stanley and Valerie Skinner of Blair, Janet and Matthew Perrone of Omaha; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and sister, Clairelyn Pfeifer, Pueblo, Colo.

She was preceded in death by her brothers, LaVerne and H. Donavon Lyngholm; and grandson, Jedediah Craig Skinner.
