Washington County native Warren M. Holstein, 80, of Lincoln, died June 11, 2004.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 15 at Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home, 6800 S. 14th Street.

Warren M. Holstein was born Aug. 6, 1923, in Washington County to Victor E. and Jesse B. (Marsh) Holstein.

He was a retired farmer and meat cutter. Mr. Holstein volunteered for Bryan LGH Medical Center East, and formerly volunteered for the Capital Humane Society. He was active with the Boy Scouts of America and 4-H youth activities, and enjoyed fishing and camping.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Holstein of Lincoln; son and daughter-in-law, Marty and Jan Holstein of Omaha; two daughters and sons-in-law, Margaret and Bill Gibson of Fremont and Ellen and Pat Beans of Lincoln; nine grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; sister, Florence Nelson of Omaha; two brothers, Howard Holstein of Omaha and Everett Holstein of Blair; nieces and nephews.

He was precdeded in death by his sister, Hazel Appleby; and a daughter-in-law, Lana Holstein.

Memorials are suggested to the Bryan LGH Volunteer Resources or the Capital Humane Society.
