Amy E. Homes, 86, died in Salem, Oregon on Wednesday, July 2, 1986.

She was born March 6, 1900, in Kalmerland, Smoland, Sweden and came to the United States and Oakland in 1906. She attended the Oakland schools and was confirmed in the Mission Church in Oakland.

On December 18, 1919, the former Amy Swanson was married to George G. Homes in Omaha. They farmed south of Oakland until 1955 when they noved to Fremont. In Fremont she worked for Memorial Hospital, Ideal Laundry, and Mode O'Day.

Homes preceded her in death on November 30, 1985. Five months ago she went to Salem, Oregon and was living with her son Wesley there in Salem.

Mrs. Homes was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Fremont and the American Legion Auxiliary.

Survivors are her daughter-Mrs. Erwin (LaVerne) Moseman of Fremont; six sons-Wayne and Wesley of Salem, Oregon, Wendell and Martin of Blair, Lloyd of Oakland and Larry of Fremont; 15 grandchildren and 13 great grand-children.

The funeral service was held on Monday, July 7, in Fremont at the Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev. Craig D. Schultz. Burial was in Fremont Memorial Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to the church.

Ludvigsen Mortuary, Fremont, was in charge of arrangements.
