FATHER OF CALHOUN MAN DIED IN OMAHA SATURDAY

Floyd T. Houk, the father of Leonard E. Baxter, Sr., died at an Omaha hospital last Saturday, November 27. He was 80 years of age. He and his wife lived at 2915 Dupont Street in Omaha.

He is survived by his wife, Olive, and a son, Leonard Baxter, Sr., of Fort Calhoun. There are three daughters: Mrs. George (Lela) Thompson of Omaha; Mrs. Thelma Pyatte, of Council Bluffs, and Mrs. Herbert (Patricia) Lawrence of Omaha. A brother, D.L. Houk, lives in Kentucky.

There are 19 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, December 1, from Brewer-Korisko Chapel in Omaha. Burial was made in Oak Hill Cemetery at Plattsmouth, Nebraska, the Rev. Donald F. Marsh conducted the services.
