Donna L. Schaefer,85, passed away Sunday, May 21, 2017 at Nye Court in Fremont, NE.

She was born May 19, 1932 in Herman, NE to Floyd and Grace(King) Sheets. She was a graduate of Herman High School and received her teaching certificate from Dana College. She married Roy Schaefer Jan 20, 1952 in Blair, NE. Roy's occupation required them to move frequently, they lived in Omaha, NE., Houston, TX. , Craig, NE., and Fremont.

She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Donna is survived by husband of 65 years, Roy; son, Michael (Becky) Schaefer of Pflugerville, TX, daughter, Linda (Zarko) Bilanovic of Collinsville, OK; sisters, Grace (Walt) Mitchell of Fremont, Lela Thompson of Herman; sisters-in-law, Marjorie Sheets of Tekamah, Rebecca Sheets of California; 3 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents; brothers Floyd Sheets and Dick Sheets; sister Ellen Epperson.

Memorial Service will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 25, 2017 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Arlington, NE. Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the service at the church. The Rev. Rick Kanoy and The Rev Jason Duley will officiate. Burial will be at a Memorial Cemetery in Fremont, NE. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Paul’s church.
