Jack Edward Bledsoe, 80

Jack Edward Bledsoe of La Vista, NE was born on December 1, 1936, and passed away on March 26, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his father, Jack M. Bledsoe, and mother, Jennie Ellen Bledsoe, of North Platte, NE, and granddaughters, Madeline Bledsoe and Katie May Ellison.

He is survived by his children: Jennifer Bledsoe (Bruce Kalchik), Gretna, NE; Jack E. Bledsoe Jr. (Wendy), Monmouth, OR; Julie Bledsoe, Omaha, NE; Jeff Bledsoe (Maria), Blair, NE; James Bledsoe (Fumiko), Covington, WA; longtime companion, Darlene Higgins, Ralston, NE; sister, Nita Kendall, North Platte, NE; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He loved spending time on his family farm in Oklahoma, fishing, tinkering and fixing things, and spending time with his family. He was very giving and will be greatly missed by all.

A memorial service at Bethany Funeral Home in La Vista, NE will be announced at a later date.
