Never Committed A Single Selfish Act

Jean E. Bennett, 39, of Kansas City, Mo., died Saturday, May 21, 2011, after a battle with ovarian cancer.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27, at St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church in Blair. Interment will be in the Fort Calhoun Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 26, at Campbell-Aman Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A rosary is slated for 7 p.m.

Jean Ellen Bennett was born June 29, 1971, in Omaha to William and Constance Bennett of Blair. She graduated from Blair High School, and was a member of St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church.

She moved to Kansas City, Mo., in 1992, where she was employed at NT Realty in North Kansas City.

She is remembered by her family as a strong nurturing woman who always thought of others before herself, never committing a single selfish act. Her legacy will be as the greatest friend, lover, mother and all-around good person to have in your life.

She is survived by her son, Ernest W. Brenneis of Gladstone, Mo.; father, William "Bill" Bennett of Blair; brother, Jack Bennett; and numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, friends and family members.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Constance "Connie" Bennett, in 2004.

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society, Kansas City, and/or Northcare Hospice, North Kansas City, Mo.
