Jeffrey Joseph Delaney, 66

Jeffrey J. Delaney, 66 of Fremont passed away Friday, June 2, 2017, at Nye Legacy in Fremont.

His funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 8 at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation will be Thursday 1 hour prior to the service. Burial with Military Honors conducted by the Fremont Honor Guard will be at Calvary Cemetery in Fremont.

Jeffrey was born on March 30, 1951, in Fremont to John J. and Alice M (Haney) Delaney. He was a 1969 graduate of Fremont Archbishop Bergan High School and attended Midland College in Fremont. Jeffrey served in the U.S. Army from Feb 9, 1971, to Feb. 8, 1973, during Vietnam as a Specialist 4. He then drove truck for Central Transportation in Norfolk from 1979-1987 and then for Dahlsten Truck Line out of Clay Center from 1987 until retiring in 2016.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Lincoln and American Legion Post 71 in Arlington, NE.

Preceding Jeffrey in death were his parents and two brothers, Douglas and John W. "Jackie" Delaney.

Survivors include brothers, Thomas Delaney and Jerome "Jerry" Delaney, both of Fremont, and sister, Kathleen A. Fager of Lincoln.
